About Bespoke Creations
In 2017 we (Richard and Sophie) decided to embrace a new lifestyle, the van life. We flew to Canada with our essential tools and converted a Sprinter van into our new home.
We enjoyed building our van a lot and, when a video of it attracted over a million views and countless requests for new builds, we decided to start our own business.
Bespoke Creations is not just another van conversion company. We also work on boat refurbishments, furniture, tiny houses or any project you may have...
We travel to wherever is required to do the work and we can bring our own tools.
We work on bespoke designs because we understand each client is unique. We get to know each of our clients and take the time to understand them. With only the two of us you can be sure we will be dedicated to your project.
We produce durable, elegant and functional designs. We know how to spend money where it matters and how to save it where it doesn't.

Sophie
I started my career in 2005 as a naval engineer in France, designing boats. I love sailing and I get a lot of inspiration from boats when I design small spaces.
After a few years I made a career change and became a transmission line engineer, as well as a project manager. This taught me client relationships, cost and programme management.
I relocated to New Zealand in 2013 and continued my engineering career while my hobbies shifted to mountaineering and skiing. I met Richard while rock-climbing in 2014.
What do I prefer about Bespoke Creations? Working hand in hand with the clients to design a product that suits them. I love creating a unique result. For me, success rhymes with client's happiness.

My passion for wood working dates from a very young age: I built my first boat with my Dad when I was 10.
After my apprenticeship I became a professional carpenter and soon a site manager. I worked more than a decade in New Zealand in the high end residential construction industry. My craftsmanship was recognized by two National Gold Medals in the Registered Master Builders House of the Year competition in 2015, in both the renovation and the new build categories.
I especially enjoy solving the space issues inherent with tiny home projects.
I take pride in the quality of my work and always apply my best in each project.
